Hamilton police say speed and alcohol may have been factors in fatal head-on crash in Flamborough.
Police and paramedics were called just before 6:30 Thursday evening to Safari Road, west of Middletown Road.
Police say that’s where a Harley Davidson motorcycle crossed into the oncoming lanes and crashed into a Toyota Sienna van.
The man operating the motorcycle died at the scene while the 18-year-old driver of the van, from Hamilton, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
No names have been released.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate.
This is Hamilton’s 10th fatal collision of 2017.
