Over and out.
The Golden State Warriors are NBA champions once again after brushing aside the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 Monday night.
The Warriors, who won the Larry O’Brien Trophy two years ago, took down LeBron James and the Cavs in five games and won their NBA finals grudge match.
You’ll recall that it was Cleveland that came back from a 3-1 series deficit in last year’s finals to stun Golden State.
But just like they were in 2015, the Warriors were too hot to handle.
Kevin Durant scored 39 points and was named the finals MVP, a no brainer.
KD was relentless on both sides of the court, playing a menacing defence and igniting the league’s best offence.

James couldn’t do much more to help the Cavaliers, finishing Game 5 with 41 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists, and averaging a triple-double in the series.
Golden State’s near-perfect post-season run — they finished the playoffs with a remarkable 16-1 record — will go down as one of the best playoff performances in NBA — no — sports history.
After 10 years in the league, Durant finally has a championship.
And looking at the Warriors roster, many more could be on the way.
