A three-vehicle collision involving a school bus just outside of London Wednesday saw six students of unknown age transported to hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening, police said.

The crash happened at the intersection of Nissouri Road and Evelyn Drive around 2:30 p.m. and involved the bus, a dump truck, and Volkswagen SUV, said OPP Const. Liz Melvin.

“There was a yellow school bus that was travelling southbound on Nissouri Road, and a northbound green dump truck,” Melvin said. “The school bus was turning east onto Evelyn and it turned in front of the dump truck and was struck by the dump truck on the passenger side.”

An SUV that had stopped westbound at the intersection was then struck by the bus and went into the north ditch, Melvin said.
