A man is facing charges after police said he crashed his sports car into two power poles in northwest Edmonton.
According to Edmonton police, witnesses reported seeing a white Corvette stunting near 160 Street and 121A Avenue, when the driver lost control and struck the two power poles. The collision happened just before 1 p.m. Saturday.
The collision caused several power outages in the area. EPCOR crews responded and restored power after a few hours.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene. Speed is considered to be a factor in the collision.
Nicholas McGrath, 30, is charged with dangerous driving and criminal flight.
