Multi-vehicle crash on 2nd Avenue North

Five vehicles were involved in a crash in Saskatoon on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at around 8:30 a.m. CT in the 600-block of 2nd Avenue North by the SGI building.

Police said their initial investigation found that a southbound Saskatoon Transit bus on 2nd Avenue struck a parked taxi, then rear-ended a truck. The truck then struck a car and a building before striking an SUV.

The cab driver was in his vehicle at the time of the collision and the bus was carrying three passengers.

City officials said the bus driver reported some discomfort to an arm. No other injuries were reported.

Traffic restrictions were in place in the southbound lanes on 2nd Avenue North while Saskatoon police investigated.
