Over a million people watched as April the giraffe gave birth to a healthy male calf at the Animal Adventure Park on Saturday.
The privately-owned zoo is now offering the public an opportunity to name April’s baby.
To do so, head to nameaprilscalf.com, where you will be allowed up to five entries. Keep in mind it will cost you a US$1 per entry.

“You even get to decide your own spelling,” the website notes.
The public will have 10 days to enter their names before the initial round closes.
After that, the park will reveal the top-10 names, and the general public will be allowed to select their favourite from the list for another five days.

“At the end of voting, we will reveal the winning name!” it says on nameaprilscalf.com.
The funds raised from the contest will go towards help maintaining the park as well as the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, which helps the animals in the wild, and Ava’s Little Heroes, an event to raise funds for children and their families to help those with epilepsy.
