Vernon RCMP have enlisted the help of the Vernon Fire Department’s Hazmat Team and are waiting on the arrival of the Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team from RCMP E Division to help in an investigation in the 8000-block of Silver Star Road.
It was Friday, March 31, when RCMP first attended the residence.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk told Global News that as the investigation unfolded, police realized they were dealing with a clandestine drug lab.
“There has been RCMP presence at the residence since the discovery and at this point in time, the investigation is ongoing to see exactly what is inside the residence,” Cpl. Moskaluk said.
Cpl. Moskaluk would not comment on what kind of drugs were being produced.
