Suspect turns himself in after hit-and-run in Sud-Ouest borough

A 37-year-old man has turned himself in to police after a hit-and-run in the Sud-Ouest borough on Tuesday. David Sedell/Global News

The suspect of a hit-and-run in the Sud-Ouest borough has presented himself to police, according to Montreal police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière.

The collision took place near Saint-Jacques Street and Laporte Avenue around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, suffered injuries to the head and lower body.

He is in stable condition.

The suspect, a 37-year-old man, was released on a promise to appear in court.
