Damaged pegged at $15K in Saskatoon house fire

Damage is estimated at $15,000 after a house fire in Saskatoon.

A 911 call was received by the Saskatoon Fire Department at 6:22 p.m. CT on Sunday.

The caller said smoke and flames were coming from the home at 201 Ave. J. N.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from windows on the main floor and flames from a basement window at the rear of the house.

It took crews 30 minutes to bring the fire under control after they gained entry to the house.

A search turned up no one and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
