Driver killed after moose collision on Highway 5

HUMBOLDT, Sask. – RCMP were called to a fatal wildlife collision on Highway 5 west of Humboldt last night.

A 43-year-old male driver died after an eastbound minivan with four passengers struck a moose around 6:25 p.m.

The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released.

Mounties say a woman and three children were uninjured in the crash.

Humboldt is approximately 105 km east of Saskatoon.
