A 50-year-old man has died after being hit by a snow removal truck at the intersection of Sherbrooke Street West and Girouard Avenue in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.

The collision took place at around 12:30 a.m. Monday, according to Manuel Couture, Montreal police spokesperson.

The pedestrian was crossing the intersection while the driver was making a left-hand turn on to Girouard Ave.

The southbound direction of Girouard Ave. is closed.

Speed and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
