Halifax man charged in bizarre robbery

Halifax police have charged a 25-year-old man in connection with a robbery three weeks ago in Fairview.

On the afternoon of November 10, police allege a man went into The Kalisimbi Shop on Titus Street, tried on several wigs and then demanded cash from the till. He then ran from the store on foot with the money towards Dutch Village Road.

No one was injured during the ordeal.

Johnathan Joseph Gallant of Halifax was arrested Tuesday evening and appeared in Halifax Provincial Court Wednesday to face robbery charges.
