Alberta RCMP search for attempted murder suspects after violent home invasion

RCMP west of Edmonton are searching for three suspects after a violent home invasion over the weekend left a 52-year-old man with serious injuries.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, RCMP responded to an alarm at a rural residence near Evansburg, which is about 100 kilometres west of Edmonton.

RCMP said the victim was attacked by three men, who then proceeded to search his home and steal his truck.

One woman, who police said was also involved in the incident, was arrested and charged. Lisa Filewich, 39, is facing charges of attempted murder, theft over $5,000 and possession of methamphetamine. She will remain in custody until her next court appearance on Nov. 28.

Police are now searching for three men. The first suspect is approximately 5’8″ tall and weighs 200 pounds. Police said he has dark hair and a five o’clock shadow on his face. He was wearing a hoodie at the time.

The second suspect is described as 5’6″ tall, weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a hoodie and a scarf at the time. RCMP said his name might be Reynolds.

The third suspect is described as smaller than the other two men.
