A Boutiliers Point man is facing several charges in connection with an assault on Saturday.
Halifax RCMP were called to the Government Wharf in St. Margarets Bay shortly before 6 p.m. to a report of a stabbing.
When they arrived, they learned through an investigation that a 38-year-old man had entered a residence in Boutiliers Point at approximately 4 p.m. looking for the homeowner, but left after being told to leave.

After learning what had taken place, the 49-year-old homeowner confronted the 38-year-old at Government Wharf where he was then stabbed in the foot by the younger man with a knife.
Both men were transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries.
Kevin Arthur Whiting, 38, is facing charges of attempted aggravated assault, assault, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
He has been remanded and was set to appear in Halifax Provincial Court Monday.
