WINNIPEG – The nation’s sixth-ranked Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey team suffered a second straight loss as they were blanked 1-0 by the Alberta Pandas at Wayne Fleming Arena on Saturday.
With the victory, Alberta (3-3-3-3) sweeps its two-game weekend series against Manitoba (7-3-1-1).
“I think their team speed really put us back on our heels,” said Bisons head coach Jon Rempel. “We never really were able to establish a consistent forecheck.”
