A school in northeast Calgary was placed under a lockdown on Friday morning after a stranger entered the building.
Officers were called to Crossing Park School in the 500 block of Martindale Blvd. N.E. at around 8 a.m.
Investigators took one man into custody at the scene.
Police told Global News it appeared the suspect was intoxicated and had entered the facility in an attempt to use a washroom.

It’s alleged he refused to leave when asked to do so by the school’s principal, who in turn called 911.
The school enacted its lockdown procedure as a precaution.
Police said the suspect is likely to be ticketed for public intoxication and trespassing.
According to the Calgary Board of Education’s website, 1121 students are currently enrolled at Crossing Park School, with approximately 112 students registered in each grade level from Kindergarten to Grade 9.
