Charges have been laid by Halifax police against a man and a woman, each separately involved in robberies of Petro-Canada gas stations in Halifax and Dartmouth.

Dartmouth Robbery
A woman was arrested Wednesday at approximately 10 a.m., about two hours after police were called to the Petro-Canada at 240 Victoria Rd. at about 8:15 a.m.
Staff say a woman went into the station and pulled out a knife, then demanded cash before running away on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The employee was not injured in the incident.
Kristine Marcia Morin, 24, of Dartmouth was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon and assault with a weapon.
Halifax Robbery
At approximately 2:25 p.m. Nov. 16, officers arrested a man in connection with a robbery at the Petro-Canada at 6389 Quinpool Rd. in Halifax.
Police were called to the gas station at approximately 2:15 p.m. Wednesday where staff say a man came into the store and pulled out a knife, demanding cash and cigarettes. He then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.
Patrol members located the suspect and arrested him after a short foot chase.
Jonathan David Hill, 32, of Halifax is facing charges of robbery, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon. He is set to appear in Halifax Provincial Court Thursday.
Const. Phil Power with Halifax police said Thursday it is not believed the incidents are connected.
“There’s nothing at this time that can tie both of them together,” Power said.
Second Dartmouth Arrest
Police say, as a result of the investigation into the Dartmouth Petro-Canada robbery, they searched a residence in the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth and found an unsecured firearm.
A 17-year-old Dartmouth boy found in the residence has been charged with breaching his conditions and various weapons offences. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court Thursday.
Power said the youth was not involved in the robbery.
“Once they do the search warrant on the residence, anyone in that residence is subject to search,” he explained. “And then of course what happens is you find a weapon then of course he’s in weapons related offences and breach.”
