The Manitoba Moose exploded for four goals in the second period as they skated to a 4-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors on Wednesday.

A 10:30 am local start time didn’t seem to bother the Moose who are continuing a five game road trip. Dan DeSalvo had two goals and an assist in the victory. JC Lipon and Brendan Lemieux also scored goals for Manitoba. Lipon also chipped in with a pair of assists for his second multi-point game of the season.

The win snapped a short two game losing skid for a team that’s been ravaged by their parent club thanks to all the injuries on the Winnipeg Jets. The Moose were without Andrew Copp, Nic Petan, Quinton Howden, Marko Dano and Chase De Leo who all remain up with the Jets.

The Moose will now head to Tucson for their first ever games against the division leading Roadrunners on Friday and Saturday.
