Canadian Forces reserve member charged with sexual assault in Halifax

A member of the Canadian Forces reserves is facing a sexual assault charge in relation to an incident which took place at Canadian Forces Base Halifax in April.

The incident was reported to have occurred when the naval reserve member from a Windsor, Ont. division, was attending a course at Naval Fleet School Atlantic.

Both the accused and victim were candidates on the course when the reported assault took place.

Ordinary Seaman Andres Florian-Rodriguez has been charged with one count of sexual assault.
