A man said he was pulled out of his car and robbed while stopped at a traffic light in Saskatoon.

Police said it happened on Sunday just after 9 p.m. CT at 20th Street West and Avenue B South.

The man told police that while he was stopped, a man pulled him out of his car, hit him several times and then took his wallet and cell phone.

He was able to drive himself to the downtown area for help and was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police are looking for an indigenous man in his 20s who had a black back pack.
