A man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by two vehicles while he was standing on a sidewalk in Calgary’s northeast Friday night.
Officials said it happened on Falconridge Boulevard and 64 Avenue at around 8 p.m.

The middle-aged man was waiting at the lights when a pickup truck and van collided at the intersection, police said.
The man was struck as the vehicles careened out of control.
There is no word yet what let to the collision or if alcohol was a factor.
