Toronto police are investigating a pair of shootings in the city early Saturday that sent two men to hospital with serious injuries.
The first incident occurred just before 3:50 a.m. near King Street West and John Street after one man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was shot. He was rushed to St. Michael’s Hospital in serious condition.
About 20 minutes later, emergency crews were called to Brock Avenue, north of Queen Street West, where another man, also believed to be in his 20s, was shot. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police continue to investigate both incidents. There is no indication the shootings are connected.
