Chase RCMP confirm that a 50-year-old man was struck and killed by a train Saturday morning near Chase.
Police responded to a report that a pedestrian was hit by a train at 7:50 a.m., about five kilometres west of Chase.

RCMP, CP Railway Police and the Coroners office attended.
The incident stopped rail traffic for about three and a half hours while an investigation was conducted.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Chase RCMP Detachment at 250-679-3221.
