Edmonton’s culinary scene has been increasingly noticed by both foodies and travel writers in recent years. Now, a leading purveyor of fashion and lifestyle trends is turning its attention to what Alberta’s capital is cooking.

Earlier this month, Vogue Magazine published an article titled Bison and Breweries: Why You Should Eat Your Way Through Alberta, Canada. The writer has suggestions for the entire province of Alberta but places special emphasis on Edmonton.

Vogue also clearly singled out Edmonton chef Daniel Costa, recommending his three Italian-inspired, Jasper Avenue establishments: Bar Bricco, Uccellino and Corso 32.

The magazine also acknowledges that Alberta’s capital has plenty to offer for people who enjoy indulging in cocktails: Vogue says 124 Street’s North 53 is a delight for drinkers as “bartenders go off menu to make patrons custom drinks.”

For sweet suggestions, the fashion magazine recommends checking out the croissants and éclairs at Duchess Bake Shop, another popular 124 Street institution. It also mentions Duchess’ sister property, Café Linnea, calling it “the perfect sit-down eatery for those that brunch.”
