Spiked drinks warning issued by Saskatoon police after sexual assault allegations

Police have issued a warning after two women allege they were sexually assaulted after consuming what they believe were spiked drinks.

The incidents took place at separate establishments in Saskatoon this past weekend.

Both women have made reports to police.

Police said they do not believe the incidents are related and that members of the sex crime unit are investigating.

Police officials are reminding people not to accept drinks from strangers, never leave drinks unattended and to call police if suspicious persons or behaviour are spotted.
