Kim Kardashian reportedly has ‘zero desire to resume her old life’ after Paris robbery

Following the terrifying armed robbery in Paris this month, Kim Kardashian reportedly has “zero desire” to return to her “old life.”

The 35-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has kept a noticeably low profile since the traumatic incident, which saw Kardashian being held at gunpoint by masked men, who stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry from her.

On Tuesday, People reported that the reality television personality is still coming to terms with what happened and hasn’t decided how she really wants to move forward yet.

“She has zero desire to resume her old life,” a source told People. “Kim is still figuring out what she wants to do. She has no plans for any public appearances.”

Kardashian has been spending most of her time in Los Angeles with family, according to reports. “She just wants to be with her kids and out of public,” the sources added. “No one is pressuring her either. She has the best support of her family.”

The report metions that Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, is on his Saint Pablo tour, but often flies back in between shows to be with her.

Another source explained that the Selfish author’s “whole life has basically changed,” putting emphasis on the fact that Kardashian refrains from engaging in “any personal interactions” with fans. “Before, she was like a social butterfly,” the source said. “Now she acts much more withdrawn.”

Kardashian has increased her security presence, including an accompanying bodyguard on all “solo outings.”

Despite Kardashian’s upcoming 36th birthday on Oct. 21, she plans to have a quiet celebration, according to the source.

Recently, Kardashian’s assistant Stephanie Shepard posted a letter on Kardashian’s website confirming that the mother of two would be taking time off over the next few weeks.

“Hey group, so you may have noticed we haven’t updated the app in a couple weeks. Keeks is taking some much needed time off. But not to worry cuz we’ve called upon Kim’s closest friends, fam & yours truly to serve up some exclusives. Stay tuned for new posts and app takeovers!! Thank you so much for your support for my girl. Love you mean it! Steph Shep.”

On Oct. 18 Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, gave an update to E! News on how her daughter’s doing following the events.

“It’s a process,” Jenner said. “One day at a time. It’s a process.” Jenner adds that Kardashian’s “doing what a mother does” by having loved ones gather around her and make sure she feels safe. Jenner also notes that right now, Kardashian’s main focus is her family.

Malika and Khadijah Haqq, close friends of the Kardashian sisters, asked that fans keep Kardashian in their prayers as she continues to recover.

“Nothing about the situation is easy and — you know, it — it would be tough for anyone to go through,” Malika told People. “So, we’re — we are protective of her privacy and — and just being comforting to her because it — it’s hard. She’s going through a hard time.”

Although Kardashian isn’t posting her usual glammed-up selfies, she has released some new KIMOJIs and some are pretty raunchy. Kardashian poses in racy positions and one emoji even reads “Shake your t*ts.”

The updated icons, released on Oct. 14, were titled “Family Pack,” which includes several new emojis of Kardashian’s family members, as well as Halloween-themed emojis.

Karadashian’s sisters took to their websites and social media to promote the update for their sister.

“I love all of the new KIMOJI packs, but this month’s Family Pack is dope!!!” Khloe Kardashian wrote on her app, ecstatic that she was officially given her own Kimoji.

While Kardashian’s sisters have returned to social media, Kim’s accounts have yet to be updated since Paris Fashion Week — minus her quick return to Twitter on Oct.13 to unfollow several people.

In a Vogue interview given before the horrific incident, Kardashian said she couldn’t live without the internet. During a game of “Would You Rather,” Kardashian got real about her priorities when she chose to live without air-conditioning and heat rather than unplugging from the social-media world.

“Dewey is good — we could put on some nice coats,” she joked.

She may be feeling differently about her answer now. Since the attack, many reports state that Kardashian is being more cautious about her life and scaling back on oversharing.

Khloe recently explained to Ellen DeGeneres that she thinks “it’s just a wake-up call to make a lot of life adjustments.”

Khloe also said “this is a really serious matter for Kim. I think that’s really personal, as to that emotional terror [and when] you could move on from that. It’s a wake-up call for all of us.”

Keeping Up with the Kardashians returns on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9 p.m.
