Billy Bush’s brief time with the Today Show on NBC has officially come to an end.
Noah Oppenheim, the show’s executive producer, released a short statement Monday which announced, “Billy Bush will be leaving the TODAY show’s 9am (sic) hour, effective today.
Bush had been suspended since a 2005 tape of him and Republican nominee Donald Trump was made public earlier this month.
Bush later said he was “embarrassed and ashamed.” Trump has since denied groping women.
The audio featured the two making lewd comments about women as the pair rode a bus during an Access Hollywood segment.
Bush, who only began co-hosting the third hour of the Today Show in August, was reportedly in the middle of a 3-year, $9 million contract.

It was reported Saturday, Bush was expected to receive a payout of somewhere in the range of $9 million.
While Bush’s stay with the Today Show was short-lived, it was eventful.
Aside from the Trump scandal, Bush was also caught in the middle of the Ryan Lochte scandal as well.
