Billy Bush to get millions in settlement for leaving the ‘Today Show’: reports

Billy Bush will be receiving a multi-million dollar payout to leave NBC’s the Today Show, according to reports.

Bush’s job as host of the 9 a.m. hour of the show has been up in the air since a 2005 tape of him and Republican nominee Donald Trump was made public earlier this month.

In the audio of a taping of Bush’s former show Access Hollywood, he can be heard egging Trump on as the presidential candidate talks about groping women without their consent.

Bush has since apologized and said that he was “less mature” when the incident occurred, though Bush himself was 33 at the time.

Two days later, NBC announced that Bush was suspended from the Today show indefinitely.

Bush and NBC are now negotiating his exit from NBC News, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A settlement could be announced as early as Monday.

A Page Six report initially said NBC was going to pay $10 million as a lump settlement, but Grossman denied it.

“There are news reports that a $10 million settlement has been reached between Billy Bush and NBC. That report is false,” he said to CNN.

The New York Daily News then reported that the settlement was $9 million, instead.

Bush’s contract had him earning $3-3.5 million a year, according to the Daily News.

In the tape, Bush can be heard talking about Trump’s Days of Our Lives co-star Arianne Zucker’s looks, as well as spurring Trump’s comments.

“Your girl’s hot as s—, in the purple,” said Bush, of Zucker.

“I’ve gotta use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump said.
