A 22-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle collision west of Ponoka over the weekend.
The crash happened Sunday on Highway 792.
When crews arrived on scene, the man’s vehicle was found on its roof in the ditch.

The driver, who police believe was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle in the crash. The Ponoka-area man was pronounced dead on the scene.

There was no one else in the vehicle at the time. The man’s name has not been released.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Ponoka is located about 55 kilometres north of Red Deer.
