Police are investigating what’s believed to be a hit-and-run collision in southwest Calgary that injured a cyclist.

Emergency crews were called to 17 Avenue and 77 Street S.W. at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

When they arrived, officers found a man on the ground in potentially life-threatening condition. A bicycle was found a distance away. Because of how far the victim was located from the bicycle, investigators believe he was likely hit by a vehicle.

The victim’s condition was later upgraded to non-life-threatening.
