Two women were taken to hospital with serious injuries following a shooting in North York overnight.
Toronto police received a call just before midnight and located two women with gunshot wounds on Islington Avenue just south of Steeles Avenue West.
Both women were rushed to hospital where they remain in serious but non-life threatening condition.

Police say both women were shot at from a vehicle and “are lucky to be alive.” There’s no word yet on any suspects.
The age and identity of the two women have not been released.
