A man has been seriously injured in a house fire in northern Saskatchewan.

The fire happened early Friday morning on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

Emergency crews arrived to find a house trailer engulfed in flames.

A man was taken to hospital with what Waskesiu RCMP said are serious injuries. His name has not been released.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Montreal Lake Cree Nation is approximately 220 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
