Smoky conditions in southern Saskatchewan are being caused by southwesterly winds blowing in smoke from wildfires burning in Montana and Wyoming.
Air quality Monday afternoon in Regina and Swift Current, Sask. is foretasted to be a moderate health risk. Residents with heart or breathing problems should reduce strenuous activities scheduled outside.
Smoke is expected to worsen in central Saskatchewan this evening and linger in the province tomorrow. Eventually conditions will improve as winds shift to the north early Wednesday morning.
Environment Canada has not issued any advisories regarding the air quality.
