Toronto man charged with second degree murder after woman found dead in east-end home

A 56-year-old Toronto man has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of Kathy Plytas at an east-end home.

On Tuesday, Aug. 9, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Toronto police received a sudden death call at a home near Jones Avenue and Danforth Avenue.

Police found Plytas and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dan Reil was arrested at the same location and on Aug. 10. He was charged with second degree murder.

Reil appeared in court Aug. 11.
