Penticton Peach Festival continues to attract large crowds

On day four, the 69th edition of Peach Festival continues to attract large crowds to Penticton.

The Peter Bros. Grand Parade on Saturday morning showcased a variety of floats including one carrying the newly crowned Penticton royalty.

Miss Penticton Rebecca Britton and the two princesses Brynn Clark and Richelle Brown were crowned during the Miss Penticton pageant at the Cleland Theatre on Friday.

The three ladies who will represent the city as ambassadors made their first public parade appearance on Saturday.

Organizers say the parade is the largest one in the B.C. Interior.

The parade got underway at 10 a.m. and proceeded down Main Street towards Lakeshore Drive, and continued west on Lakeshore Drive, turning the corner at the S.S. Sicamous before disbanding at the Rose Garden car park.

There will be entertainment all day including the Flyin’ Fools High Dive Show, hypnotist William James, dance performances and live music.

The five days of free family fun wraps up on Sunday.
