Penticton’s Peach Festival is around the corner and the City of Penticton wants you to know about some traffic and parking changes aimed at helping to make enjoying the annual event a little easier.

Along with B.C. Transit, the city has expanded bus services from August 3 to 7.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

There will be extended service on Route 5 Main Street to Skaha Lake.

Buses will run hourly until midnight, including Sunday service on August 7 only.

As for what you’ll pay to ride transit on those dates, it will be business as usual with regular fares.

The final bus departing Peach Festival will leave at 11:41 p.m.

A temporary bus stop will be set up on the north side of Lakeshore Drive, next to the festival site.
