On Wednesday, RCMP announced charges had been laid against two different Edmonton men in connection with “separate and unrelated investigations” into a string of flashing incidents in St. Albert over the past two months.
A 34-year-old Edmonton man has been charged with an indecent act after police were called to a man exposing his genitals at a Dollarama store on Bellerose Drive on the afternoon of July 15. A man was arrested immediately after officers arrived and the suspect is scheduled to appear in St. Albert Court on Sept. 19.
Mounties said they’ve also arrested and charged a 44-year-old Edmonton man after investigating multiple reports of a man approaching people in “a partially-clothed state” in St. Albert this summer. They said the charges were laid after investigating reported incidents including a man exposing his genitals to a 15-year-old girl at the Earl’s restaurant in St. Albert and a man running naked from the waist down through the parking lot of an OJ’s restaurant.
The accused in this investigation has been charged with two counts of performing an indecent act, exposure to a person under 16 years of age and three counts of causing a disturbance.
The man was released on bail on the condition that he abide by a curfew and that he may only enter the city of St. Albert in order to attend court.
Police did not say when he was next scheduled to appear in court.
RCMP did not reveal the names of either of the accused.
