Winnipeg Goldeyes’ outfielder David Rohm selected for All-Star Game

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Goldeyes will have one representative at this year’s American Association All-Star Game.

Outfielder David Rohm was selected to be a member of the North All-Star team.

Rohm, 26, has a .341 batting average, which ranks fifth in the league. His 46 RBI are tied for third and he had a career high 12-game hitting streak in June. This will be his second all-star appearance over a seven-year professional career.

The all-star teams were voted on by the league’s field managers.

Former Goldeyes’ Josh Mazzola, Luis Alen and Nate Samson were also named to the team.

The North All-Star team is comprised of players from both the North and Central Divisions. The 2016 American Association All-Star game takes place on Tuesday, August 2 at CHS Field in St. Paul, Minnesota.
