The centre was chosen 25th overall via a pick the Jets received in a trade that sent Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian to the Buffalo Sabres.
Roslovic scored 10 goals and 16 assists in 36 games last year in his freshman season with the NCAA’s Miami University (Ohio). He was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s rookie of the month in October. Roslovic also helped the USA win gold at both the 2014 World U-17 Hockey Challenge and the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championships.
Roslovic’s contract marks the end of the 19-year-old’s college career. He will play next season with either the OHL’s London Knights, the AHL’s Manitoba Moose or the Jets.
