Bryan Cranston is hoping to have a chance to portray a presidential character in the future — Donald Trump.
The Breaking Bad star admitted that he would like a shot to play the Republican presidential nominee one day during an interview on the Today Show.
“I’d like to play Donald Trump at some point,” he said. “He’s huge. He’s this Shakespearean character, this serio-tragic-comedic character. Who wouldn’t want to take a bite out of that?”

Cranston, currently promoting The Infiltrator, showed off his Donald Trump impression and blew everyone away.
The 60-year-old actor nailed the Trump impression with accurate hand gestures and spot-on delivery, similar to previous impressions done by Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep.
With Trumbo’s Dalton Trumbo and All The Way’s Lyndon B. Johnson already under his belt, the Malcolm in the Middle star is no stranger to playing historical figures on the big screen.

The actor also offered an impression of his former colleague, Jerry Seinfeld. (Cranston portrayed a dentist named Tim Whatley from 1994 to 1997 on the hit sitcom.)
Social media happily confirmed that Cranston nailed the Trump imitation.
