Police are looking for people who broke into a Halifax-area home and stole a car as a woman and her grandson slept inside.
Police say they recovered the vehicle in Cole Harbour on Sunday and went to Beaver Bank to notify the owner, finding the garage door open.

They say when they contacted her, the homeowner didn’t know the door was open or that her vehicle had been stolen.
They say several items were also taken from the home while the two slept upstairs.
Police say they’re looking for a Honda Civic that may have been in the area overnight Saturday.
