Residents of an apartment building in Vancouver’s west end received a surprise on Thursday when a large tree came crashing down.
The tree hit the building, at Nelson Street and Gilford Street, but luckily no one was hurt.

The crash did break several windows however.
The city says it is unclear how the tree came down as its roots look healthy and the weather was clear at the time of the incident.
