WINNIPEG — An interaction on Twitter on where to find a fake ID has captured a lot of eyes on social media – including the Winnipeg police.

On Sunday, Twitter user @Adam_Earis tweeted out a question, asking his followers where he can find a fake ID.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Hours later, Winnipeg police tweeted back, “Let us know if you find a source for fake IDs. Pretty sure we know a couple of detectives who’d be interested in that info too.”

On Twitter it says @Adam_Earis  is a rapper from Winnipeg.  He responded to police by promoting his new album, which he said should be released soon.

Police then tweeted back, “Thanks for being a good sport. And good luck with the album.”
