Woman arrested after walking on Woodbine subway tracks

TORONTO — A woman was arrested after she was seen walking on the subway tracks at Woodbine Station Saturday night.

Police said they received a call at 11:10 p.m. reporting a woman was seen walking towards Coxwell Station before climbing a ladder into a ventilation shaft.

Subway service on Line 2 was suspended from Broadview to Victoria Park while the Emergency Task Force arrived on scene.

Officers negotiated with the woman for about 30 minutes before arresting her under the Mental Health Act.
