Saskatoon police trying to solve robbery involving masked men, machete

Investigators have released images and video in hopes of solving an armed robbery that happened on May 18 in Saskatoon. Police are asking the public for help in identifying those responsible for the crime.

At around 11 p.m. CT, two masked men entered a restaurant in the 3000-block of Diefenbaker Drive. They fled the scene in a vehicle similar to a Chevrolet Avalanche with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The employee was not hurt during the robbery.

Both suspects had black bandanas covering their faces and are described as between five-foot eight and five-foot nine in height.

The suspect carrying the handgun wore white and red socks over his shoes, black track pants with white piping along the sides, a black track jacket and a black hoodie underneath with the hood up.

The second suspect had purple rubber gloves and was holding a machete with black tape on the handle. He had his blue hood up with a black jacket, black pants and black socks over his shoes.
