Alleged child abduction attempt in Battleford, Sask.

Police are looking for a man following an alleged abduction attempt of a child in Battleford, Sask.

Mounties said it happened Thursday between 2 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. CT at a schoolyard.

According to police, the 10-year-old child was grabbed by the arm by a man and told to come to a nearby truck.

The child screamed and the man let go of the child and fled.

No injuries were reported.

The man is described as being between 30 and 40 with brown eyes and wearing a red hat, brown shirt and jeans. He was driving a white truck that was last seen on 25th Street in Battleford.
