Manitoba RCMP are investigating the identify of the body discovered in the Red River near Selkirk Tuesday.
Partial remains were recovered from the river RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Bert Paquet confirmed Wednesday. Because of this, Paquest said officers do not have the identify at this time.
“Officers from specialized sections are actively working to advance this investigation and provide more details and answers in due time,” he said.

The body was discovered Tuesday morning in RM of St. Clements.
Police were on scene on Gowryluk Road on the east side of the Red River just north of Selkirk.
