Hours after the 7 Eleven robbery, police received a complaint about a shoplifter at the Bay at Orchard Park mall in Kelowna.

“The stores loss prevention officer maintained a visual of the suspect, who allegedly stole a pair of sunglasses valued at nearly $250, who was arrested by police inside the Sport Check,” says Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey. “The suspect, who investigators recognized from the video surveillance footage of the convenience store robbery earlier that morning, was still wearing the clothing seen in the footage and found in possession of the knife investigators believe was used in the commission of the robbery.”
