A 46-year-old Edmonton man is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, after a man was attacked at his St. Albert home Monday night.
RCMP said officers were called to a disturbance at a home in the Deer Ridge area at around 10 p.m. where they found the 46-year-old victim outside.

They said he was bleeding profusely from his arm and told them he was attacked by an acquaintance with an edged weapon. Officers then arrested another man inside the home.
The victim was rushed to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton and treated for a severe laceration to his arm. He has since been released.

Willie Jay Severight is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, uttering threats, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, resisting arrest and mischief under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code.
He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on May 30.
