A Canadian Pacific Railway train derailed east of Saskatoon Wednesday afternoon. It happened around 3:45 p.m. CT near Clavet.
Initial reports indicated that 11 cars derailed, but CP officials later confirmed the total at 17.
Twelve of the cars involved were empty and five were carrying loads of cement. No injuries or leaks were reported.
